On the TV side, Poirier created and executive produced ABC mystery series Missing, starring Ashley Judd, which aired for one season in 2012. He also wrote the screenplay for the comedy See Spot Run and wrote and directed the comedy Tomcats. Poirier wrote the screenplay for the John Singleton-directed film Rosewood, for which he won the WGA’s Paul Selvin Award. Smith served two terms on the President’s Council for Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition under President Barack Obama. He is the author of 21 books with millions of copies in print.
